How Sexual Sinful Lust Operates?
In order to understand how the devil will use Lust against
you let's pretend the following:
Let's say for example that we were just created by God yesterday at our current age and do not have any addictions. With that in mind, let us go through the works of satan:
- First: At this point you have not sinned although the pre-disposition to sin lives in you because of the Sin committed by your original carnal father,
Adam and his disobedience. This curse has passed down from generation to generation and now you have inherited that force that drives you from the inside to sin.
Since we are talking about pornography let's say that this thought is of a woman in a commercial that is revealing more than enough.
You have to understand that there was purpose to the outfit worn by the model that you have seen. The purpose was to produce a sexual reaction. So here you are watching a soccer game on TV when this commercial comes on. Now, you have a choice.
- Are you going to look at that woman and retain the thought in your mind?
- Or are you going to let it go?
But wait ... also add to it the "good feeling" variable of the equation. So what are you going to do?
Are you going to take the "Bait" or are you going to recognize it for what it is an let it pass?
The bible says in the letter from James to the twelve tribes of Israel:
"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God can not be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust has conceived it bringeth for sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." James 1:12-15
Well...If you are reading this then you probably took the bait like I did.
Most likely you were raised in a way that promoted that behavior and were not raised to understand the consequences of sexual lust so its very likely that you took the "bait".Why?... Remember what Jesus said to us:
"Verily, verily I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin"
So you have taken the bait or in other words... given in into sinful sexual lust because you had a lustful desire towards women and now you are a servant of that lust. The brain has also reacted favorably to this feeling and you have liked it. So now you are looking for your next opportunity to see more. Once you see more you realize that you are getting to know and like the good feeling a little bit too much so you want more. What has happened is that your sin has multiplied and what started as a single event now is becoming a big player in your life.
Remember what the Bible said to us about the sin we have now committed in James 1:12-15. It said that sin will conceive more sin and then death.
You are now a Porn addict and I mean "addict". You have now come to realize that you love this and that your body needs it. You are mentally and physically addicted to Porn. It is consuming all of your free time and you are even sacrificing more and more of the time that you used to dedicate to living a good life. Your passions and hobbies do not even matter any more. You find yourself thinking about it most of the time and guess what... You still have a problem ! Why?
Because "the eyes of a man are never satisfied" Proverbs 27:20 So you have to go even deeper.
Now the regular Porn doesn't do the trick.
And your body is wanting more. There now resides the possibility that you have now started to go into a darker world, maybe you are now comitting adultery in the flesh and ..
you still have an addiction, a progressive addiction that in extreme cases can lead to Rape and Murder.
See...
What started as a glimpse... ended up choking your life to death!
Yes... It is Bad.....   But guess who is Good?
Jesus... and he said:
" The servant abided not in the house forever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:35
Yes, that means that Jesus is going to set you free.
There is nothing that you have done, no matter how bad it is that will make you be loved any less by God. He loves you just the way you are, with all the imperfections. And yes... he will set you Free.
Let's thank our Lord right now in anticipation for what is coming .
Thank You God for your grace and mercy, for the sacrifice of your Son Jesus and the blood he shed for our sins. Thank you, for you have not just released us from sin but you have released us from the curse of sin. You have broken the curse for us and have opened a door that no man can shut. Praise be to you Lord. Amen         Back          |
